Takiya first joined Sixthriver during her college internship program and transitioned to a full-time role upon graduation. She currently serves as Design Support and Resource Librarian. Takiya's role as Resource Librarian is crucial to the success of Sixthriver’s Interior Design projects. She manages the library's activity and materials, serving as the main point of contact for both internal design teams and external vendors.

In her role, Takiya enhances project results through various responsibilities, including: researching materials using the in-house library and product research, attending studio and design meetings to understand project needs, creating inspirational trays for client presentations, and fostering vendor relationships while staying updated on product trends. She meets with vendor representatives to screen new products, maintains and organizes an up-to-date Resource Library with stocked materials and samples, assists staff in locating materials and information, and ensures that borrowed materials are returned and filed appropriately.

Takiya earned her Bachelor of Applied Arts in Interior Design from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.
