Junior Project Manager - Interiors Team

JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGER – INTERIORS TEAM
SixthRiver is seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our interiors studio. Candidates will work closely with the Principals, Interior Designers, and the consultant design team to take projects through all the phases of design and construction. Your initiative, technical abilities, and collaborative attitude will be integral in the successful delivery of some of the firm’s most important projects. Candidates must have the required qualifications below in order to apply for this position including experience with mixed-use multifamily and/or commercial office type projects.
Job Description
Involved in all phases and aspects of a project including design, documentation, code analysis, bidding, specifications, construction administration, and FF&A
Highly motivated and able to work both self-directed and in interdisciplinary teams in an energetic environment
Proactive problem solver and planner with ambition towards project delivery
Under the mentorship of a senior team member, seeks strategic support to ensure progress towards project milestones
Primary point of contact with clients showing strong verbal and written communication skills
Create and manage production schedules, budgets, and communication with project design consultants and design team staff
Identify design and constructability issues and provide guidance and solutions during design and construction phases accordingly
Conduct quality check reviews at each phase of work production and documentation
Facilitate and coordinate activities related to permitting, including local requirements for life-safety, building, and accessibility codes
Other duties may be assigned
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in interior design or architecture or related field
3+ years of specific project management experience in corporate and/or multi-family project types
Experience in construction administration, review and management of project submittals, RFIs, participation in OAC meetings and associated site visits
Experience in Test Fit and Space Planning
Knowledge of the design and construction process, technical abilities, code analysis, and permitting aspects
Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Possess a great attitude and contribute to a positive and effective team environment

JUNIOR/INTERMEDIATE INTERIOR DESIGNER

Job Description
Responsible for contributing to the overall success and completion of client projects by collaborating with the Project Manager and/or Senior Designer to complete project design and documentation through all phases including pre-design, DD, CD, CA, and FF&A
Proactive participation in all facets of the design process with the internal and external team. This includes the design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, vendors, etc. Capable of reviewing other disciplines’ drawings and ability to communicate design intent back to the team. Growing aptitude for sourcing materials, developing design concepts, understanding constructability, and executing the project’s goals
Lead the transformation of creative solutions, design concepts, and technical information into presentations and construction documents. Additionally, responsible for documenting code review and compliance as guided by the Project Manager/Quality Manager/Senior Designer
Passionate, highly creative, and motivated to be a role model for the design team. Positive attitude and a natural problem solver. Organized, exhibit good judgment and resourcefulness, driven to learn and participate in or lead various facets of design. Possess excellent communication skills, both visual and verbal
Ownership of smaller projects where assigned the Lead Designer role, including entire design conception and all phases of the project

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in interior design or architecture or related field
3-5 years of experience in Corporate and/or Multi-Family project types
Knowledge of the construction documents process, including cartoon sets, full production drawings, and picking up redlines
Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Enscape, Microsoft Office
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Possess a great attitude and contribute to a positive and effective team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
NCIDQ Certified or pursuing certification
Experience in Test Fit and Space Planning
Exposure to the CA process, including reviewing shop drawings, project submittals, RFIs, and participating in OAC meetings and site visits as guided by the Project Manager
